Download certificate

You are about to download the DigiCert Certificate Authority signing certificate. After download, you may choose to add this certificate to your browser or mail client's collection of trusted certificates.

A large number of trusted authentication certificates are included with every browser installation, but this one might be missing.

Adding the DigiCert Certificate Authority signing certificate will tell your web browser or mail client to trust certificates that have been issued by them to UCSD.Edu. These may be presented by various campus web sites, which will enable them to operate with enhanced encryption and security to protect your data transactions.

For Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, and most other browsers, select
Download DigiCert certificate for UCSD in x509-ca-cert autoinstall format.
You should be prompted to add the presented certificate to your browser's trust cache.

If that doesn't work, see you browser's instructions for adding a new Certificate Authority (CA) signing certificate. Our certificate is available in these standard ways:

Digicert certificate for UCSD in PEM format (plaintext) or

Digicert certificate for UCSD in binary DER format, or

Digicert certificate for UCSD in Eudora-compatable CER format, or

Digicert certificate for UCSD in something-compatable CRT format,

Most browsers will guide you through the process of installing this certificate. What needs to be done is to add the certificate to the list of signing authorities your browser already recognizes.

Other applications may sometimes need this certificate, typically in the PEM format. When needed, you may download the PEM format above, or cut and paste the following: (be sure to include the BEGIN and END lines in their entirety).
